Hi friends,

Just a quick note to say I'm excited (and yes, a little nervous) because I'll be on WABE 90.1 today around 1pm. You can listen to it live online, or just on the regular radio, or catch it online later when it's posted.

I'll be speaking with Closer Look host Rose Scott about the inhumane living conditions I've witnessed and reported on at Villas de Las Colinas 2, an apartment complex on Buford Highway in the city of Brookhaven.

You can read my original story here: Raw sewage is erupting out of bathtubs in an apartment complex on Buford Highway, but no one wants to deal with it, and an update on it here. Also, if you haven't read it yet, check out this amazing AJC investigation on low income housing in metro Atlanta. It touches on so many of the systemic issues that I'm seeing directly play out at the complex on Buford Highway.

That's all from me for now - I'll be in touch later this week.

Best,

Sophia

I was listening to the program, but I didn't read this beforehand, and I didn't know that the person was you. Well-done!
